Itinerary Overview:
Vietnam Sustainable Escape
Day 1 – Hanoi Arrival
Welcome to Vietnam. Transfer to a green-certified hotel. Evening walk in the Old Quarter and welcome dinner at a farm-to-table restaurant.
Day 2 – Hanoi City Tour with a Sustainable Twist
Visit the Indigo Boutique, with a vision to preserve and sustain traditional craftsmanship, offers indigo dyeing workshops. Lunch at a cooperative restaurant training disadvantaged youth. In the afternoon, visit Hanoi’s main highlights, including key cultural and historical landmarks.
Day 3 – Hanoi to Mai Chau
Scenic drive to Mai Chau Valley. Bike ride through Thai minority villages and rice fields. Dinner and overnight in a traditional stilt house or eco-lodge.
Day 4 – Mai Chau Immersion
Walk and discover daily village life – join locals in rice planting, try your hand at bamboo weaving, and enjoy a home-cooked lunch with a local family. Evening cultural dance performance by the community.
Day 5 – Mai Chau to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
Transfer to Pu Luong. Soft trek through minority Thai villages, rice terraces, and bamboo waterwheels. Dinner and stay in a charming eco-retreat run by locals.
Day 6 – Pu Luong
Full-day trek or village activities: farming, weaving, cooking, herbal bath workshop. Learn directly from the community.
Day 7 – Fly to Hue
Transfer to airport, flight to Hue. Enjoy a sunset view from the hills overlooking the Perfume River. Overnight in a boutique heritage hotel.
Day 8 – Hue by Bike
Explore the Citadel, garden houses, and countryside by bicycle. Lunch in a family-run garden home. Visit to a creative hub that revives Nguyen-Dynasty heritage through handicrafts, royal tea, and immersive cultural activities. It also serves as a center for traditional artisan education and craft preservation.
Day 9 – Hue - Hoi An via coastal road
Drive the scenic Hai Van Pass. In Hoi An, join a lantern-making workshop with a local artisan, discover traditional silk-making, then enjoy a peaceful bike ride through the countryside.
Day 10 – Hoi An Immersion
Early market visit and cooking class. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk to explore the UNESCO-listed ancient town of Hoi An.
Day 11 – Departure from Da Nang
Transfer to Da Nang airport for your flight home. End of the tour.
