A few ideas

Junk boats and Marionettes: Ha Long Bay is a fascinating place exuding charm and stunning scenery. Hundreds of islands, large and small, rise from the calm emerald waters of the sea. This three-day trip offers the chance to relax in one of Southeast Asia’s most picturesque and stunning locations: Ha Long Bay. Board the luxury paddle steamer Emeraude and cruise through a landscape of dramatic limestone cliffs, enchanted caves and secluded lagoons. On the return journey to Hanoi, stop at a village specializing in the unique Vietnamese art form of water puppetry and watch a performance in its original outdoor setting. The village has been staging shows here for over 400 hundred years and you are in effect witnessing the living history of traditional Vietnamese culture.

Life in the Clouds: Experience Vietnam’s colorful ethnic diversity amid a backdrop of terraced valleys and soaring mountain ranges. The former French hill station of Sapa is a divine combination of alpine landscape, fascinating hill tribes and cool mountain air. Take a trip on the Victoria Express train, the most luxurious and comfortable in Vietnam as we snake our way north towards the Chinese border. Explore by foot or by road some of the most amazing and friendly people going about their everyday lives in this harsh but beautiful land.

Dine like a King: Hue was the Imperial seat of power from the beginning of the 19th century until the end of the Second World War. Although much of the royal citadel was destroyed, the cultural legacy, which was promoted by successive emperors, remains and the city is rightly regarded as the cultural heart of Vietnam. This cultural heritage extends to its cuisine, some of the most diverse and sumptuous in the country. After exploring the city’s regal past with a tour of the Forbidden City, the surrounding royal tombs and a boat trip on the scenic Perfume River, we adjourn to a traditional garden home for dinner. Here, surrounded by lotus ponds and bonsai trees, we will be treated to Hue’s finest cuisine in the confines of a fully-working replica of a 19th century “nha rong” or garden home.

Travel back in Time: Hoi An is surely the most captivating and remarkable of places. Much of this quaint fishing community remains as it was 400 years ago when it was at the crossroads of several ancient trade routes and a hub of international commerce attracting merchants from China, Japan and the West. This eclectic mix can be seen in the town’s architecture as Chinese assembly halls, ancestral homes and even a Japanese covered bridge vie for attention. Come with us and explore this eminently beautiful slice of history on foot. Then mount a bicycle for a peaceful ride on narrow footpaths through surrounding villages and witness age-old practices such as boat making, rattan weaving and visit a village that grows only traditional herbs and vegetables.

Delta Discovery: The lush and fertile Mekong Delta is awash with color. From the psychedelic Cao Dai temple in Tay Ninh to the myriad canals and waterways replete with floating markets, the Mekong is a truly wonderful place to explore. Relax on board a specially converted sampan as we weave our way through the hustle and bustle of an authentic floating market. Cycle along quiet town paths and through charming riverside villages. Watch the midday service of the eclectic Cao Dai sect, described by British author Graham Greene as a “Walt Disney fantasia of the east”.

What we offer

Broadly speaking, most corporate or group event consulting can be broken down in to three types, depending on the level of involvement and input the client wishes VIDOTOUR to have.

Minimal Consultation: Minimal consultation is ideal for clients who would like to plan most of the event themselves. In such cases we would help primarily in the early planning stages by recommending a range of on-site resources and offer advice and direction regarding local contacts, sites and of course costs. VIDOTOUR can also facilitate potential business ventures by organizing introductory meetings and establishing contacts between two parties.

Joint Planning:  Joint planning allows VIDOTOUR to become more involved with the organization of the event from start to finish enabling us to use our creativity, local knowledge and planning skills. This does not mean, however, that the clients cannot still input their own ideas at all times. Joint planning consultation is designed for clients that lack the time to thoroughly plan an event themselves, but at the same time wish to contribute in part to the organization and creativity of the event.

Complete Event Management: This comprehensive consultation package allows VIDOTOUR to thoroughly plan and organize a particular event from the creation through to the actual implementation of the event itself. In addition, we will be available on-site for the duration of the event with the benefit of our local knowledge if required. For many clients this is the best and most convenient option as it allows them to relax, safe in the knowledge that we are taking care of every aspect of the event.
