Travel overland to Siem Reap, stopping to admire the 12th-century Angkorian bridge at Kampong Kdei.
In the afternoon, explore the grandeur of Angkor Thom, the vast walled city that once served as the capital of the Khmer Empire.
Bayon Temple – Located at the heart of Angkor Thom, this iconic state temple is famed for its hundreds of serene stone faces, symbolising compassion and royal authority under King Jayavarman VII.
Royal Enclosure – The former royal residence area, home to key ceremonial and administrative structures.
Elephant Terrace – A grand platform once used for royal processions, audiences, and public ceremonies.

Journey to the exquisitely carved Banteay Srei, often called the “Citadel of Women” for its refined pink sandstone reliefs, then continue to Ta Prohm, where giant tree roots intertwine with atmospheric stone ruins. Lunch at a local restaurant.
