Trip Itinerary

Day 1 – Hue – DMZ – Vinh Moc Tunnels - Phong Nha NP

Travel north through Quang Tri Province, passing several historic sites from the former Demilitarised Zone, including Quang Tri Citadel, Dong Ha, Doc Mieu, Hien Luong Bridge.

Stop to visit the Vinh Moc Tunnels, an extraordinary underground network built during the Vietnam War that sheltered entire villages from heavy bombing, complete with living quarters, wells, and medical rooms.

In the late afternoon, continue through scenic countryside to reach Phong Nha town.

Overnight in Phong Nha.

Day 2 – Phong Nha Caves – Dong Hoi

Start your day by travelling along Victory Road 20 (formerly part of the Ho Chi Minh Trail) through the national park. Explore Paradise Cave, renowned for its vast chambers and impressive limestone formations, and the longest cave in Southeast Asia, stretching over 31 km and adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Continue to Dark Cave for an adventurous experience combining kayaking, ziplining, and cave exploration (optional, bookable and payable locally).

Late afternoon drive to Dong Hoi. Hotel check-in.

Day 3 – Dong Hoi – Next Destination

Morning orientation tour of Dong Hoi city, offering a gentle introduction to this laid-back coastal town and its riverside setting, before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
