Vietnam Airlines launches direct flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Dien Bien Phu starting January 2025.

HO CHI MINH CITY – Transfer of International Flights to new Long Thanh Airport – Programme Impact

According to information communicated by Vietnam Airlines, from mid-June 2026, all international flights TO / FROM Ho Chi Minh City will be transferred to the new Long Thanh International Airport, located approximately 40 km from the city centre. The estimated transfer time is around 1 hour 30 minutes via expressway under normal traffic conditions.

As a result, please allow sufficient time for transfer and airport check-in (minimum 4 hours before departure).

Please consider this carefully when booking flights, particularly if sightseeing activities are planned on the final day.

Transfer costs are also likely to increase.

We will keep you informed as soon as more details become available.

More than a restaurant, the museum presents phở as a culinary and cultural heritage, combining storytelling, exhibitions, and interactive elements.

HANOI 'FLAG TOWER MEMORIES' TOUR

A newly launched tour allows visitors to climb the Hà Nội Flag Tower, one of the city’s most important landmarks. More than 200 years old, the tower offers wide views over Hà Nội and a simple, engaging way to learn about the capital’s history and sense of national pride. Day 1: Ho Chi MInh City - Tra Vinh (D)

Depart by car for Trà Vinh (150km-4 hours), a tranquil Mekong Delta province known for its Khmer heritage, elegant pagodas and fertile countryside. Check in to a comfortable lodge set among rice fields.

In the afternoon, join a Khmer mask-making workshop and prepare cốm dẹp, a local sticky rice and coconut delicacy, enjoyed sunset by the pool. Dinner is followed by an Apsara dance performance celebrating Khmer culture.

Day 2: Tra Vinh (BLD)

After breakfast, set off on a 12km cycling ride through rice paddies, fruit gardens and traditional monkey bridges. Along the way, stop at a local home to learn about daily life, then visit a rice mill to see traditional processing methods.

Continue to an ancient Khmer pagoda, admired for its distinctive architecture, before meeting local farmers to discover Trà Vinh’s prized macapuno coconut (locally known as dừa sáp), a rare variety unique to the region. Enjoy a refreshing drink made from this speciality, then cycle back to the lodge for lunch.

The afternoon is at leisure to unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

Later, savour a thoughtfully prepared five-course dinner made with homegrown produce. Before retiring for the night, unwind with a soothing herbal foot bath to end the day in complete relaxation.
