DA LAT AIRPORT TO CLOSE FOR SIX-MONTH UPGRADE

Lien Khuong International Airport (DLI), the main gateway to Da Lat, is scheduled to close from March 2026 for a major runway upgrade. The six-month project includes runway extension, taxiway improvements, upgraded drainage and enhanced airfield lighting.

MEAK BOCHEA FESTIVAL - Cambodia

Meak Bocheas is one of Cambodia’s most important Buddhist festivals, marking the Buddha’s teachings on moral conduct and inner purity. The day features temple offerings and prayers, followed at dusk by candlelit processions with incense and lotus flowers. Acts of merit and charity reflect the festival’s spirit of compassion and renewal.

Photography & Filming Guide: Capturing the Candlelight Ceremony

The candlelight procession (or Vīra Pūjā), is the most visually striking ritual of Meak Bochea, held at dusk. Devotees carry a candle, incense, and a lotus flower, walking three times clockwise around the main shrine. Photography and filming should be done with sensitivity, respect, and careful attention to low light.
